Description

K&H Pet Products Self-Warming Crate Pads are available in multiple sizes and colors to accommodate every pet's needs. The self-warming pad will capture the pet's body heat and radiate back the warmth to the source. The 4 corners or this crate mat are slit to allow the pad to fit many different edges. The adjustable size makes this pad fit into many different crates, carriers, and kennels. The topside of the kennel pad is made from soft, inviting microfleece while the bottom has a "stay pet" non-slip fabric to keep the pad from bunching up in the crate. Simply throw the whole pad in the wash for easy cleaning and care. These pads also work great as a self warming cat pad or self warming dog pad when no electricity is available for a cat heating pad or heated dog bed. Being that they are so versatile and not just a crate bed, you can place them just about anywhere for use as a self warming crate pad, self warming cat bed, or self warming dog bed. Place in a dog crate, on a window sill, on cat furniture or anywhere in your home!

Product Q&A

What is your self-warming material composed of?

The self-warming material is actually metalized plastic, similar to that in which you’ll find in space blankets. This metallic property basically allows the pet’s body heat to reflect back to your pet.

Could a self-warming product be used outside?

While our self-warming products are great for the indoors, they are not designed to return enough body heat for the cold outdoor temperatures of winter. Rather, they are designed to elevate the temperature of a pet bed that is already around room temperature.

For outdoor pets, we recommend using the Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Bed, Lectro-Kennel, or Extreme Weather Kitty Pad. These are made for the outdoors and will provide enough heat for an outdoor setting during the cold winter months.
